If the enemy can get us engage in criticism towards one another for our weaknesses and mistakes, he can separate us from each other. When we are loving and vulnerable and forgiving to one another, we are powerful!
Confess to one another therefore your faults (your slips, your false steps, your offenses, your sins) and pray [also] for one another, that you may be healed and restored [to a spiritual tone of mind and heart]. The earnest (heartfelt, continued) prayer of a righteous man makes tremendous power available [dynamic in its working]. James 5:16 (AMP)
As a church, we keep trying to hide our struggles, pains, and faults from one another because we don’t want to be criticized or judged. So, we suffer alone. This is not as God intended it to be. He wants us to open up about our hurts, our struggles, our weaknesses, not so we will endure judgments or criticisms, but so we can pray for one another and receive His healing power. Let’s make it our goal to not say or think anything critical or judgmental toward any of our brothers or sisters in Christ. If we will foster a safe place for others, we will find a safe place for ourselves as well.
